This show adds quite a bit of filler while still being based around Biblical scripture (1 Samuel 17). Definitely didn't like the princess kissing David beforehand, Goliath doesn't spear David, the eldest son doesnt get crowned king, etc. BUT what I'm continuing to hope & pray is that this show will inspire everyone to look into the Bible themselves to read the story of David and eventually find Jesus who is the author of our salvation (John 14:6). Shows like The Chosen and House of David are helping people come back to the Bible and Jesus Christ to find the truth for themselves and I hope that trend continues even though the shows are filled with hollyweird non-believers and filler script. Remember this is entertainment, not replacement for Biblical scripture. Maranatha Lord Jesus!
